The Goddess grins explores Albert Tucker’s complex and varied representations of women, with images that responded to and commented on his immediate environment, while encompassing reflections on universal conditions of humanity: war, fear, sexuality and myth.

The crescent is a recurring motif within Tuckers work and formed the basis of the identity for the exhibition catalogue and signage.
